Vasuka's Back Story

Born in Kirigakure, Vasuka Hoshigaki, she had two loving parents in a dwindeling clan that didn't really want her since she was a half breed. Her mother was a Hoshigaki her father a Momichi. Not long after she was born her family moved to the outskirts of the village, still within the duristicion of the Kazekage but not to close as to draw much attention to themselves. Vasuka's parents shinobi but ran a small bookshop. From a young age Vasuka would run around trying to help normally just getting in the way but it was always good natured. At the age of 10 a great problem fell on the family when her mother came down with an unknown illness, which was later to kill her. Vasuka's father was to busy to look after her and her mother so she was packed off and sent to live with her grandmother.

Living with her grandmother wasn't easy, she was hard going and wasn't used to having children around as soon as she could she made sure that Vasuka was enrolled into the Kirigakure academy. Not a good thing for Vasuka since she looked like a Hoshigaki with the beady eyes, gills and scaley skin but was only half she got it hard from her fellow class mates but this just made Vasuka knuckle down to prove herself, Half way through her first year she got a letter and a package, the letter was from her father stating that her mother had died of the illness, in the package was an ornate and wonderful scythe it was her great great grandfathers, her father had heard she was in the ninja academy and thought she should have it. Vasuka was saddened but her resolve strengthened. From that day on a new Vasuka was born hard skinned and ready for anything, she excelled in her studies and practiced as much as she could, and became known for taking no nonsence from anyone, she once beat down 4 young ninja who decided to pick on her, this got her in alot of trouble but no one messed with her afterwards.

As time when on Vasuka grew from a girl into a woman and a fine ninja, she left the village for a while to find herself and her place in the world. On this journey she learned her place was back in her village fighting for what was right. she returned stronger than ever. After that things were straight forward, she hadn't gotten far in shinobi terms, she was still a genin, so she enrolled herself into the Chuunin exams with several other genin, Tasico and Jaga, the exams where hard the written exam almost got her her but with the help of her team she managed the first stage, the second was a search for certain item team work paid off, the last stage though had her beat arena battles but she was weaker than every other shinobi in the exam, through sheer luck she managed to pass since back then all was decided by the eldars, those who showed promise passed, she was one of the few who did.

Life passed slowly from then on, she was no where near ready to take a larger leap, she spent alot of time training solidly, trying to bring herself up to a level of strength where she would be respected, it was at this time she became acting leader of the 7 swordsman of the mist. It felt good she had power and people following her one became a good friend and ally.

A Kiri ninja called Mantis, she trusted him with her life, they regularly trained together, but as time went on the 7 swordsman started to disolve and Mantis became the next Mizukage, Vasuka moved on and trained harder a need to be stronger overwhelmed her. she was a bit of a loner and fought regularly with an outsider known as Argban, they saw a rivalry there, but it didnt last to long, Argban vanished, Vasuka once again felt like the outsider, until it was her time to step up to the plate, she felt the need for power once again an challenged Mantis to his title for Mizukage, Mantis stepped down without much of a fight, it was around this time that Vasuka made allies with Konohagakure and it's now Hokage Kioya, whom was later found out to be working with akatsuki, it was also around this time that Vasuka agreed to join the multi village alliance known as rengogun to battle akatsuki, the war waged for several months until rengogun clearly lost, Vasuka let the group desolve and used her powers instead to help the younger ninja, showing them the basics, watching then grow, becoming known to some as grandma or even aunty Vasuka, she watched Kages come and go, Ninja's live and die, yet still she was not content. Kioya eventually fell, defending his village against those who were meant to be his own, he saved his village from akatsuki. The great Raikage Biran, fell never to be seen again, a good friend she made on her travels Banzeshi also seemingly dissapeared, she was alone once again.

Time passed slowly as not much happened she prayed to the gods things would start afresh and they did new ninja rose from the ashes and older ones resurface, she once again met up with her chuunin exam team mate Jaga. Now she wiles away the hours traning hard and trying to run her village.
